Employee Self-Service

This section is for people who use MotorPH Enterprise to handle their own work records: your timesheet, your leave, your payslips, your claims. It assumes your account has the Employee role and no administrator permissions. If you also approve other people's requests or run payroll, see the HR Administrator guide as well.

Everything described here is scoped to you. The pages under My Workspace show your own records only — there is no view of a colleague's timesheet, payslip or leave balance.

Where things are

After you sign in you land on the Dashboard. The sidebar on the left holds everything else. Your own pages are grouped under My Workspace:

Sidebar itemAddressWhat it is
Profile/my-profileYour employee record, and the two contact fields you can edit
Timesheet/my-timesheetClock in, clock out, submit days for approval
Leave/my-leaveLeave balances, new leave requests, request history
Overtime/my-overtimeOvertime requests and their status
Payslips/my-payslipsPayslips by year, year-to-date totals, PDF download
Awards/my-awardsRecognition awards and certificates, when your company uses them
Reimbursements/my-reimbursementsExpense claims you have filed
Holidays/my-holidaysThe company holiday calendar, read-only

Three more entries sit outside that group, below it in the sidebar:

  • Announcements (/announcements) — company-wide posts. Every signed-in user can read them; posting them is an administrator action.
  • Notifications (/notifications) — your alerts. When you have unread ones, a red count appears on the sidebar item.
  • Messages (/messages) — direct conversations with colleagues.

What the Dashboard shows

The Dashboard adapts to your permissions. With an employee account you get four summary tiles — Last Net Pay, Pending Leave Requests, Pending Overtime and Leave Balance (Days) — above three charts: Net Pay for the current year, Leave Requests by Status, and Overtime Hours by Month. Each chart says so plainly when there is nothing to draw yet, for example "No payslips yet this year."

Why a page might be missing

Every item in the sidebar is tied to a permission, and you only see the items your account holds. The self-service pages map to these permissions:

PagePermission
Profileemployee.profile.view
Timesheetemployee.timesheet.view
Leaveemployee.leave.history.view
Overtimeemployee.overtime.request
Payslips and Awardsemployee.payslip.view
Reimbursementsemployee.reimbursement.request
Holidaysemployee.holidays.view
Notificationsemployee.notifications.view
Messagesemployee.messages.view

If one of these pages is not in your sidebar, your account does not have the matching permission. Ask your HR administrator to add it. Typing the address directly will not get you in either — the page checks the same permission.

There is one other reason My Workspace can disappear. If your account carries more than one role, the avatar button at the top right of the screen shows a Switch Role View list. The My Workspace items only appear while the active role is Employee, so switch back to it if you were looking at an administrator view.

Rearranging the sidebar

The sidebar has a Customize navigation button at its top. It opens a Customize Navigation drawer where you can pin entries as favourites, hide the ones you never use, and reorder what is left. Reset puts everything back; Done closes the drawer. This only changes what you see — it does not change what you are allowed to open.

When something is wrong

You cannot correct your own pay, attendance history or personal details beyond your address and phone number. Those are administrator actions, by design. When a day is missing from your timesheet, a payslip figure looks wrong, or a leave balance is not what you expected, contact your HR administrator — they have the matching admin pages and can make the correction.
