Time and attendance
Your timesheet lives at Timesheet under My Workspace, or /my-timesheet. It
records one row per working day: when you clocked in, when you clocked out, how
many hours that came to, and where the day stands in the approval process.
Clock in and clock out
The card at the top of the page is about today. It reads "Not clocked in yet" before you start, then shows your Time In, then adds your Time Out.
- At the start of your day, select Clock In. The button turns off once you have used it — you get one clock-in per day.
- At the end of your day, select Clock Out. Hours Worked is calculated from the two times and written to the row.
A few rules the system enforces:
- Clocking out without clocking in first is refused with "You have not clocked in today".
- Clocking out twice is refused with "You have already clocked out today". The button is disabled after the first time, but the check is on the server as well.
- Times come from the server clock, not from your computer, and you cannot type them in by hand.
If you forget to clock in or out, you cannot add or fix the row yourself. Ask your HR administrator — they can create and edit timesheet entries.
Find a particular day
Below the clock-in card are a month dropdown and a year dropdown. They filter the table to that month. The year list contains the current year plus every year you have entries for.
The table shows Date, Time In, Time Out, Hours Worked, Status, Remarks and an Actions column. The data columns can be sorted and filtered from their headers, and the list shows 20 rows per page.
Submit a day for approval
A check-mark button appears in the Actions column, but only on rows that are still Not Submitted. Select it to submit that day. A confirmation appears and the status changes to Submitted.
Submitting is one-way: there is no un-submit, and only your own entries can be submitted.
What each status means
| Status | What it means for you |
|---|---|
| Not Submitted | The day is recorded but you have not sent it for approval yet. The check-mark button is available. |
| Submitted | You have sent it. It is waiting for a supervisor or HR to review it. Nothing more for you to do. |
| Approved | Signed off. |
| Disapproved | Reviewed and rejected. The Remarks column is where an explanation would appear. Talk to your HR administrator about what to correct. |
Why submitting matters
Whether an unsubmitted day earns anything depends on a setting your company chooses. The payroll engine can be configured to pay every recorded entry, to pay only submitted and approved ones, or to pay approved ones only. Under the stricter two settings, a day you never submitted is worth nothing on the payslip and does not count as attendance.
You cannot see which setting is in force from the self-service pages. Submit your days as you go, and if a payslip is short of hours you expected, check the status of those days here first, then raise it with your HR administrator.
Overtime needs a timesheet entry
You cannot file an overtime request for a date that has no timesheet row. Clock in on the day (or have HR create the entry) before filing the request. See Time off for how overtime requests work.
